Havant Harps

The Southern Music Project CIC offers weekly grouped harp tuition on Monday evening at the Pallant Centre in Havant.

What We Offer:

  • Lap Harps: We use 20-string lap harps, which are lightweight and great for beginners and experienced learners. These harps are provided to you each week during the class, or alternatively you can buy or hire your own lap harp.

  • Customised Arrangements: Learn a variety of songs specially arranged for the lap harp, tailored to enhance your learning experience.

Our Sessions:

  • Beginner Harp Group: Join a new or existing group of beginner harpists by signing up using the submission form below!

  • Intermediate Harp Group: Perfect for those who have some experience and want to advance their skills.

  • Hampshire Harp Ensemble: We are delighted to welcome returning and experienced harpists to the Hampshire Harp Ensemble! Members will learn a variety of specially composed and arranged pieces, suitable for harpists of all abilities. Sessions are held weekly from 19:00-19:45.

Our Location

We currently offer harp lessons in various groups on Monday evenings between 5pm and 8:30pm at Havant College, PO9 1QL.

Parking: Free parking is available on the HSDC site.

Public transport: Nearest train station is Havant, which is a 5-minute walk. Alternatively, the nearest bus stop is Havant Bus Station and then a 7-minute walk
